You are spoilt for choice for a place to eat or simply have a relaxing drink. Here are a selection of just a few of our favourites within just minutes of Gite Saint Julien. To reveal TripAdvisor reviews for each just click on the name.

Bistro St Julien  Located just across Place St Julien opposite the gite less than a minutes walk. Service is throughout most days and there is a set lunch option available. Wonderful for just sitting out, have a coffee and watch the world go by.

Au Bar Normand  Nice bar to sit out and enjoy the lovely weather in summer time. Great position just in front of the church at the end of Rue St Julien.

Auberge Du Grand Gousier Situated in Place de la Liberte just beyond the church. Offers both set menus and a la carte, a very popular restaurant open throughout the day. For evening dining it is recommended that you book a table to avoid disappointment.

Bar Du Palais Du l'Odin  Again situated in place de la Liberte opposite the imposing former Courthouse. Offers pleasant place to have a drink or snack. You can sit out and just people watch and enjoy a relaxing drink.

L'Echauguette A well regarded Italian restaurant at the top of Grand Rue. Has a good menu ranging from pizza to all types of pasta.

Hotel de France Situated just a little distance in the lower part of the town Domfront en Poiraie offers a typically French menu and is popular with locals.

Le Grill Located next door to Hotel de France and as the name suggests is a typical grill restaurant. Is popular with locals and would suggest booking a table to avoid disappointment.

This is just a selection of our favourite places to eat out. Throughout the town there are a number of cafe's and bars to enjoy a drink whilst strolling around, in addition there are also a few "take away" establishments serving pizza and kebabs. 

Further afield there are numerous restaurants and bars in local villages that serve lunches at amazingly low prices. You can often find a 3 course lunch with wine/cider for around 12 euros.
